An exciting adventure along the iconic River Wear as you will paddle past the infamous Stadium of Light and, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the local otters feeding in the river.

Once you reach the mouth of the river, you’ll be out on the sea with hopefully the local dolphins and seals to keep you company. This is an experience you won’t want to miss out on! This trip is super chilled and perfect for beginners as the main focus of this adventure is on having a nice journey along the river and taking in the scenery!

My husband and I had the best day on our kayak trip. The whole team were friendly, helpful and fun, with great cookies and cuppas! We spent all day on the water from the river down to the marina at Roker and finished off visiting an area of water you wouldn’t normally access. We waited patiently for the dolphins, but alas they didn’t turn up until we’d finished our trip and had a little sea swim ourselves! Nonetheless, we had a brilliant day and can’t wait for the St Abbs weekend next year! ?

A marvellous day out on the water kayaking. Fatfield to Roker taking in all the sights, sounds and wildlife from the local area. We were escorted by three fantastic guides Joe, Jake and Nic who supplied us with local history and knowledge …… as well as tea, coffee and cookies along the route.

If anyone is thinking about doing one of these adventures available I would highly recommend it.Thanks again to the entire team for looking after us and giving us a day to remember. We will return for more adventures.

My husband and I had a great day on the Fatfield to Roker Kayaking trip on Sunday. The trip was really relaxed with a lovely set of 6 other people. We were beginners, after only doing a holiday kayaking trip years ago, so a 10 mile paddle felt a bit daunting beforehand. But it was totally safe and we had plenty of opportunities for a break during the paddling, although you are on the water all the way from Fatfield to Roker Marina. A quick break for lunch and then onto Roker harbour.
A fab day and something totally different seeing the river and the harbour from a new point of view.

What a fantastic day out on the water. Really great and knowledgeable instructors / guides – very professional but easy going and relaxed looking after everyone from beginning to end. Great scenery and trip down the river pausing for lunch/snacks then ending at Roker with a trip over to the beach on the south side of the mouth of the river.

A really enjoyable day kayaking from Fatfield to Roker harbour. The friendly, professional instructors explained everything thoroughly. A lovely trip down the river with the occasional local knowledge shared by the instructors. Half way stop for lunch and coffee, then casually down to the harbour. A great bunch of people too. Highly recommended.

It was really good and can’t wait to get out again soon! I think for most of us, it was our first time kayaking so having a team that weren’t there to make us capsize or freak out was perfect! It was a very chilled out paddle down the river, and with the age range varied there was a real mix of people which is always nice. So check them out, as I believe they have the same day trip running again soon!
