Purchasing Online

It is simple. Just choose your items, adding them to your shopping cart. Once finished you can then make a payment at the online checkout. You can do this with a credit or debit card, or you can choose to make a bank transfer.

When confirmation of your order is received, this lets you know we have received your order. It does not show that a contract exists between us. We will then show acceptance of your order via an email, and a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Postage and Click & Collect

We post all items via Royal Mail or a carefully selected courier. Once posted your item will arrive within 3 working days. We will let you know once the item has been collected for postage from our base.

Please inform us upon receipt of the item if there has been any damage in transit and we can then correct the problem with the delivery company. Please always quote your reference number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. If you would rather not wait you will receive an email giving you the option to cancel.

Tax Charge

For orders made within the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included in the price you see.

Returns Policy for Online Orders

You have 14 calendar days to return your items for either an exchange or a refund. If you wish to return items within 14 – 30 days, please contact us for assistance. Any returned items after 30 calendar days will not be accepted. Return postage will not be refunded, unless items are found to be faulty.

If you wish to return an item, please contact us for a returns number (RAN). Please state your order number (on the email you received from the online shop), the date of sale, whether you require an exchange (including alternative sizes) or a refund. Items must be returned in their original sale packaging and the returns number should be written clearly on the outside of the package.

Items sent back without a returns number will not be accepted.

You have 14 Days to contact us and return faulty or unwanted items to us from the date you receive your order. We strongly recommend you use a recorded delivery service like Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or the international equivalent so you have a record that the package was delivered as we regret that we cannot be held responsible for goods until they reach us.

Items bought between the 1st and 31st December can be returned until the 14th January as we understand they may be Christmas presents.

We will refund the cost of goods returned as unsuitable or unwanted however the postage will only be refunded in the event the goods are faulty.

Items only suitable for a refund if defective, otherwise no refund given will be given

Neoprene products (Wetsuits, boots, gloves, hoods) if they have been used on the beach / in the water.

Note that Goods not in their original packaging will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. We will contact you should this issue arise.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Travel Advice  

When travelling abroad, we all want a trouble-free trip. Many of the things that go wrong for travellers can be prevented or made less stressful by taking a few simple precautions. So, it makes sense to spend a little time getting prepared before you travel – you could save yourself a lot of problems further down the line.  

We are working with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) to help British nationals stay safe abroad. The FCDO website offers straightforward travel advice, top tips and up-to-date country information to help you plan your holiday.

Wherever you‘re adventuring to in the world the FCDO is a great place to help you figure out entry requirements or the latest travel advice, as well as information on health vaccinations, local laws and customs. For further assistance click here.  

Tips include: 

Make sure you have valid travel insurance even if you‘re only planning a short trip. Check what vaccinations you need by visiting: travelhealthpro.org.uk, your travel health clinic or GP at least six weeks before you travel. Read up on your destination, including local laws and customs. Make photocopies of your passport, visas and insurance details and leave a copy with a relative or friend at home. 

Reading up on what the local British Consulate can do to help you if you run into problems abroad – and what they can’t do. You can also find handy checklists to use before you set off and while you‘re away.

Alexander Adventures Lesson and Activity Conditions 

Advance Booking Policy: 

Customers that wish to book single session activities in advance are required to pay the amounts detailed below: 

  • Activity Sessions for each outdoor activity – Payment in full at time of booking. 
  • 1:1 Lessons – Payment in full at time of booking. 
  • Board Hire – Payment in full at time of booking. 

Cancellation Policies: 

All public activities and lessons (excludes private group sessions): 

  • Activities and lessons can be rescheduled to a different available time up to 48 hours prior to the booking, as long as minimum numbers are still met for the lesson/activity to go ahead. 
  • A request to reschedule must be received by email to info@alexnderadventures.co.uk at least 48 hours prior to the bookings start time. Unfortunately once this time has passed we are not always able to change the booking. 
  • Failure to contact us to reschedule in advance of a booking will be classed as a no-show and no refund will be due. 

Private Group Sessions: 

  • Participants cancelling over 15 days prior to the booking will have the option of rescheduling the booking or receiving a credit note in the amount of the cancelled booking. 
  • Participants cancelling up to 14 days prior to the reserved booking date will have the option of rescheduling the booking or will lose the deposit paid or £50 of the total booking cost if paid in full. 
  • Participants who cancel less than 24 hours before the booking start time will not receive a refund. 
  • Participants who do not show up on the reserved booking date will also not receive a refund. 

Our Right to Cancel 

Although we always endeavour to notify customers in advance, for safety reasons and the fact we can’t control the weather we reserve the right to cancel, modify or restrict hires or activities at any time prior to or during the hire/activity without prior notification. Customers will be entitled to the following if we cancel an activity (except in the event of antisocial behaviour). This policy will also apply in the event that UK government advice suddenly limits our activities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Hires and activities not started: 

These can be rescheduled, or a credit note valid for 1 year or full monetary refund of activity cost can be provided. 

Please Note: No compensation will be payable for any other expenses or losses customers incur in relation to the cancellation of the activity. 

Hires and activities already underway: 

These can be rescheduled to an alternative date or you will be provided with a discount code for future activities / purchases. (valid for 1 year)

Refunds & Credit Notes 

If you are entitled to a refund, we can only refund you to the original payment method. If we are refunding something paid by a voucher that will have expired because the booking didn’t go ahead we will extend the voucher to give you chance to rebook. 

Credit Notes (Activities): If you accept a voucher for a cancelled activity, it is valid for 1 year. Vouchers are non-refundable.
