You’ll use our expedition sea kayaks which means your progression from our previous courses is completely seamless and easy. This day is ideally suited to keen adventurers who have done a little kayaking previously and is the perfect progression from our full-day course.
The main aim of this adventure is to explore the Farne Islands on an exhilarating journey into a world of natural wonder. As the paddle strokes guide you through the shimmering waters, you enter a realm teeming with vibrant wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Among the highlights of this expedition are the charming puffins that grace the rocky shores, captivating visitors with their distinctive appearance and playful antics. These islands, designated as an internationally significant habitat, provide a sanctuary for countless seabirds, including puffins, to breed and thrive. The rhythmic sound of the waves, the salty breeze on your face, and the company of these remarkable creatures combine to create an unforgettable experience that immerses you in the captivating beauty of nature.You will also have the opportunity to develop your existing skills, knowledge, and improve your confidence and ability, through testing your skills in a more challenging environment.

We had a fantastic trip out to the Farne Islands on Monday. Following a session on Saturday to familiarise ourselves with sea kayaks we felt very confident on the open water. The instructors were all friendly, helpful and pointed out the wildlife that resides on and around the island. We’ll be booking onto another adventure soon.
