Lake Windermere is 17km in length and 200 feet deep. The lake and surrounding area are a haven for wildlife spotting and for enjoying nature. You can immerse yourself in this hub of ducks, geese and swans. Rare visitors include the black swan and the long-tailed duck. The elusive otter has been spotted out on the lake in recent years and you might get a glimpse of the cormorant colony roosting out on the middle islands.

At the end of the day we’ll return to the base where you can collect your car, free parking is available here. We also have some good bus routes that stop close to our base, and there is also the local metro station. We should arrive back at the base no later than 6pm.
