Sea Kayaking Weekend Expedition in Vanos, Sweden

£665 per person. Secure your spot with a £200 deposit. This does not include flights, estimated flight cost £200. Minimum 4 guests required

Sweden Archipelago has in excess of 30,000 islands peppering the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. We’ll be exploring a handful of these, starting at Vanso surrounded by the Baltic Sea during our 4-day sea kayaking adventure. Most of the islands are uninhabited and located in one of the wildest areas of Europe. It’s great that they are only an hour drive from Stockholm too!

This kayak adventure is well suited for beginners, and the more experienced kayaker will enjoy the wildlife and island life. On arrival we’ll enjoy a short training session, and then head off on our journey, enjoying a low tempo paddle between the islands.

Your guide will provide information about the archipelago, including its history, and the flora and fauna. There will be plenty of opportunity to land on a deserted island, take a swim and refuel.

Evenings will be spent around the campfire, enjoying freshly prepared meals and sampling some of Sweden’s fine alcoholic beverages. This area is a world class kayaking venue.

Location, airports, accommodation and your arrival details

The archipelago offers solitude whilst never being too far from civilisation. Experience true coastal wilderness around the outer islands or skirt the coastline to take in the atmosphere from some of the lively fishing villages found in the area.

With Sweden’s ‘right to roam’ law, you can paddle, hike, forage and setup camp almost anywhere around the archipelago. Of course, it’s not just about exploring by kayak, when you’re not paddling, you’ll go off exploring deserted islands on foot, spot some of the stunning wildlife which lives in the area. Brown bears, wolves, golden and white-tailed eagle. We’ll visit traditional Swedish fishing villages, snorkel around sheltered coves, cook on an open fire and go fishing from the rocks.
