Paddle board (SUP) White Water Grade 2 Haydon Bridge to Hexham

£72 per person, minimum 4 guests required

A great SUP adventure for those who want to take their white-water paddle boarding fun to the next level! Our aim is to give you all the information and experience you need to decide if you would like to invest further in this sport.

The session will be led by one of our qualified instructors.

Please remember these sessions are grade 2 and aimed at slightly more advanced paddlers.

The session will be on the South Tyne River, providing a fantastic location with grade 2 rapids. You will be on the water for most of the day, which will include white water paddling and some bank-based coaching.

As well as having a great journey we’ll also cover some training and improve your skills:

  • Equipment knowledge
  • Launching and landing your board
  • White Water paddle strokes and skills
  • Safety

When you arrive at our venue you will be met by a member of our team and they will fit you with your equipment and you will be given a short safety briefing and explanation in the use of the equipment, before transferring to the start location at Haydon Bridge. When on the water you will be taught how to sit and stand comfortably, control and stay safe on your board as well as hopefully interacting with some of the local wildlife.

Venue location, parking and your arrival details

A beautiful location for an enjoyable white water paddle experience. This section of the South Tyne River is well sheltered from the elements and allows us to paddle on some fun grade 2 fast flowing rapids. The river is abundant with wildlife, and provides a great little haven for spotting kingfishers, otters, heron, leaping-salmon and sea trout. also keep an eye out for the mute swans, muscovy ducks, great black-backed gulls, wood pigeon, and the occasional glimpse of roe deer!

We’ll be meeting at Tyne Green. You’ll find the team located close to the kids playground, before you get to the golf club. Drive along Tyne Green Road and you’ll be able to spot the team!
